Is TradeStation compatible with Windows XP?
A TradeStation 6 update, which is compatible with Windows XP, is expected to be released in December 2001.
If you choose to upgrade to Windows XP before this version of TradeStation 6 is available, we would like to make you aware of an issue that has been encountered with the current version of TradeStation 6 (version 6.02), which specifically affects those users who are upgrading to Windows XP from Windows 98 or Windows Millennium Edition. Specifically, the shortcut(s) for launching TradeStation 6 may open a Windows XP update window instead of launching TradeStation 6. In order to restore the shortcut(s) so that they launch TradeStation 6, you should click on the ‘Options’ button in the bottom-right corner on the Windows XP update window, then click on the ‘Restore’ button that appears at the bottom of the window. Once the shortcut has been restored, it can be used to launch TradeStation 6, just as it did prior to the upgrade to Windows XP. The process of restoring the shortcut will also need to be performed for any other shortcuts that you use for launching TradeStation
